Sometimes when people think of individual counseling or psychotherapy, they think they are going to lie on a couch four times a week for ten years and talk about their mothers.  Talking about the past with a therapist can sometimes help you feel better, and there is no doubt that insights from past behaviors can sometimes help to understand current ones.

While we may discuss past issues and patterns, my goal is to teach you the tools to not just feel better, but to get better.  To do this, I use an eclectic approach influenced by rational emotive behavior therapy.  Inight is important, but perhaps even more important is what are you going to do about it?  My style of therapy will help teach you to challenge your thinking in order to change your mood.  To achieve this, we usually meet once a week for 45 minutes.
