Date nights, bucket lists and play dates? It can be difficult enough to enjoy oneself without the added pressure to construct pleasure around these types of experiences. And, according to one psychologist, it's all against our nature. If you question these recently manufactured "must-do's" take a look at this article which looks at biology, evolution and psychology to reject much of this type of thinking. Maybe living in the moment, with appropriate attention towards the future, is healthier than a tightly-planned bucket list, a rigidly scheduled date night, or an over-supervised play date.
