After speaking to many people, often the hardest part of being mindful is remembering to be mindful in a moment when you really need it. Work to set up ways to remind yourself to take a moment if you know you're going through something difficult or have a heavy work day ahead. Use an alarm clock or calendar alerts. Or, tie a moment of mindfulness to something you do everyday like riding up to your office in an elevator or buying a cup of coffee in the morning. Knowing you are going to forget is half the battle. We all know we want to be more mindful but we get self care amnesia during periods of high stress.
