It is my belief that one’s innermost wisdom is always striving for wellness. Our tendency toward operating on “autopilot” interferes with our innate ability to heal ourselves. I view conscious relationship, with both self and others, as the most powerful tool we have for reflection, healing, and transformation. Using rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT), mindfulness, and other eclectic techniques, we will work together in a therapeutic relationship to debunk the old stories you carry that no longer serve your best interest. If you are tired of repeating the same mistakes, dating the same people, and feeling “stuck,” you have come to the right place! As your therapist, my goal is to teach you how to identify these barriers and unlock your strengths, so you can choose your best life. My style is very interactive and deeply respects the unique mind, body, and spirit of each individual client and of partners in relationship. In therapy, I want to aid you in finding more balance in every aspect of your life, whatever that means for you.
I graduated with a Masters in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from Naropa University in 2015. Before that, I received my Bachelors in Psychology from Loyola University New Orleans. I am currently a Provisional Licensed Professional Counselor, working under supervision. I have a strong connection with people in non-traditional families and lifestyles and work to cultivate a safe place for all. As a queer-identified therapist, I work largely with the LGBTQIA community, polyamorous / multiamorous / consensual non-monogamous folks, and work with relationships of all sorts of styles. I also have specialized training in Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders, and enjoy working with families in transition or with parenting struggles.
